I will write more later, brother Aaron, once I have the time to read and digest the entire piece.

All I can say is, once again, you must be stalking me! lol. Just kidding.

Although being primarily a drummer I also “play at” guitar, and 2 years ago bought a reissue 1964 Fender freestanding reverb unit. It goes FAR beyond the reverb in any fender amp and is nicknamed surf reverb by lots of older players. I bought it cuz I’m into real surf instrumentals.

So you’re reading my mind again, bro. I don’t even have to suggest topics. I think them (like Deconstruction) then I get an email you’ve written the most interesting tome on this album.

Keep kicking ass, A. I’ll be back when litigation settles down with lots more to say.

I was in San Diego for a legal seminar in 1998. Near the beach and resorts and a lake you could take a paddle boat across. The nearby town (name forgotten) had one bar with live music. You guessed it. Surf night. Weird thing was…band was all white males. My friend and I white males. The packed club was all monied asian Americans (judging by their new bmws and Benz’s and their attire and college age) and they went WILD like it was the Beatles.

I’ll add I asked a bunch of the crowd what they knew about the band, etc. not many knew the members they just liked dancing to the music. I had figured maybe they were college buddies with the band but apparently they were popular within that particular social group. And most had traveled from LA to see that band. Wish I could recall their name.

In jr high and high school in Houston in the 1970s, I

Used to sing (badly) the lyrics to Surfer Joe, the b side of Wipeout by the Surfaris. Go surfer Joe. Nobody knew what song I was singing. Nobody liked surf then.
