This piece brought back a lot of memories of the life I was living in Vancouver, B.C. in the mid to late 90's. Even the affordability of it was completely different than now. You could rent a house or a decent heritage house for a good price and work odd jobs and make art. It made cities like these a welcoming home for all kinds of people that are being railroaded out to God knows where. Not to be too sentimental, as a sort of old guy I appreciated this a lot.
